The Technical University of Moldova (address: 1, Stefan cel Mare Bvd, Chisinau, MD-2004, Republic of Moldova)  is the only technical higher educational institution in the Republic of Moldova, founded in 1964.

Scientific research is a basic component of TUM’s activity, which is an essential component of engineering education. TUM is a member of the Black Sea network of universities. TUM is part of Europe’s unique university space, it collaborates with 75 universities and scientific centers from different countries of the world.

Scientific research is based on 6 Research & Development Centers, including the Center for Food Processing, Food Quality and Safety, which includes about 75 PhDs and the Doctoral School “Food Science”. The scientific research of the Center is based on international projects (4), institutional (3), state projects (1) and technology transfer projects (4). The Research Center “Food Processing, Quality and Safety” has experience in the execution of similar programs. In the years 2006 – 2010, research was carried out within the framework of the State Program “Technologies for processing of agricultural raw materials and preserving the agro-food production with reduced energy consumption. “As a result, 16 patents were obtained, of which 4 were implemented in the Moldovan agri-food industry, and gold, silver and bronze medals were obtained at international exhibitions. TUM team coordinates the state program “Food Security and Food in the Population Transition Period ” (2018-2021).

The “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi (address: 3, Mihail Sadoveanu Alley, Iaşi, 700490, Romania) is a specialized institution of superior agronomic and veterinary medicine training, financed by the state and having as fundamental mission the training of agricultural, horticultural and animal sciences engineers, agricultural economists, engineers in food industry, biologists, as well as veterinary doctors.

UASVM is a serious academic partner, recognized by many European universities and institutions in the field of activity. We have 159 people as part of our teaching staff and research teams, who are teaching over 4200 students.

The University academic offer provides courses from domains of study of national and international applicability, high-quality training, scientific research performance, access to modern facilities and equipment and also opportunities to participate in study and practice European mobility programmes, which all serve to build successful careers for all our students.

UASVM has four faculties, each offering various specialisations:

Faculty of Agriculture: Agriculture, Mountainous agriculture, Exploitation of machines and equipments for agriculture and food industry, Engineering and Management of Agricultural Business, Technology of Processing Agricultural Products, Consumer and environmental protection, Biology,

Faculty of Horticulture: Horticulture, Landscape architecture, Environmental engineering, Agricultural Biotechnologies,

Faculty of Animal Sciences: Animal Sciences, Fish farming and aquaculture, Engineering and management in Food Service and Agri-tourism, Food control and expertise.

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: Veterinary Medicine (in both Romanian and English).
